IMAGE×SWAPP

ImageSwapp is a digital interpretation of a classic analogue phenomenon: two photographers expose the same roll of film without seeing each other's images. The result is a double exposure — two worlds layered on top of each other.

In the analogue version, photographers would mail a developed roll back and forth. Here it happens digitally and instantly, but the most important ingredient is preserved: blind trust and the beauty of chance.

The essence of a film swap is not the technique — it's the trust. There is no way of knowing what the final image will look like, and that makes it unique and unpredictable. You have to trust that what the other person captures — however different from your own — will somehow work. It usually does.
